RE:           OSS Position at the Incline Substation

The position of Office Support Specialist at the Incline Substation is a complex position encompassing both Office Support duties and Administrative Support duties. 

The Incline front office position serves as administrative support to the Incline Commander, Incline Lt and five Sgts. 

The position is tasked with ordering supplies and facilitating maintenance for the Incline substation. 

The front office position is responsible for keeping track of Juvenile Detention and gives monthly updates to the State of Nevada.

Administrative Support Duties:

  • Administrative support to the Incline Commander, Lt, and Sgts. 

  • Assist in maintaining the Incline Commanders calendar.

  • Receive completed and signed evaluations.

  • Compete Adult jail paperwork monthly.

    • Send off paperwork to the State at the end of the year. 

    • Email evaluations to payroll

  • Receive completed and signed Risk management paperwork. For injuries and property/vehicle damage

    • File paperwork and send out to appropriate personnel.

Special Events: 

  • Sheriff’s Office picnic each year. 

  • Receive and distributing permits, contracts, and special events, signed by both Department of Public Safety (Nevada Highway Patrol) and the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office. 


  • CCW

  • Work permit

  • Fingerprints

  • Register Felons and Sex Offenders.  

  • Fingerprints for IVGID

  • Fingerprints for WC School district

  • Childcare prints

  • MMJ for NuLeaf

  • Business License Prints

  • Run III for Patrol (also done by CIC)

  • Criminal History Requests

Budget and S.A.P.: 

  • Maintain the Incline budget. 

  • Input and track PO’s. 

  • Pro-card purchasing and Pro-card paperwork. 


Prints packets for service, logs and assigns to Deputies.  (Deputies will return back to Civil upon completion).

The front office person must maintain their notary status due to the documents they are responsible for. 

Public Relations:

As a liaison to many other agencies for the Substation, this position works closely with the DA’s Office, NLTFPD, Roads, Incline Justice Court, Incline Constable, NDOT, NDOW, NV Energy, P& P, the Coast Guard, Placer County SO, Sand Harbor, Secret Service, the FBI, DMV, IVGID, Incline Community Hospital, the local Casinos, Hotels, local Schools, the Tahoe Bonanza, the Bear League, the State, DPS and Nevada Highway Patrol.  

Dog Licensing:

Dog licenses are Issue at the Incline Substation.  It is their responsibility to receive proper documents and money for licensing.

Marine 9:

Keep track of records and training.  Log in budget items and keep track of Marine 9 budget. 


  • Annual fire extinguisher charge, 

  • Maintain gate, 

  • Order supplies for the Incline Substation. 

  • Facilitate facility work and maintenance.

  • Keep track of Incline Sheriff’s Office inventory. 

  • Input building maintenance in Facility Dude

OSS DUTIES                         

  • Clerical support                         

  • Customer service                        

  • SAP purchase requisitions                    

  • Maintain budgets for substation.

  • Maintain budget for Marine 9                                    

  • Keep track of Incline Sheriff’s Office                 


  • Travel paperwork for Incline personnel.            

  • Initiate and maintain resource materials.
