Pre School Teacher

Incline Village Nursery School is a non-profit preschool that has been operating since 1970. We have a small program and offer class options for children aged 3-5 years old. Our program strives to give all children an opportunity for high quality preschool education in an environment that is academically based yet still focuses on the importance of learning through play.  We hope that by the time they leave our program our students are 100% ready for Kindergarten in academic and social areas.  We follow the Washoe County Public School (Incline version) calendar and we do close for the summers as well as all Washoe County Public School breaks. 

Job Opening: Preschool Teacher

Job Description: We are seeking a motivated, reliable, and nurturing educator! This teacher would be working in a classroom collaboratively alongside an assistant teacher and the director of the school. All three faculty members work together daily to teach skills individually and in a group setting. The Teacher will assess skills, lead circle times, create & lead craft projects, create lessons for center tables in math and literacy, keep the classroom organized and clean, communicate with parents about their child's growth and development, and plan classroom events.

Qualifications: Associates Degree or Higher, experience in early childhood education. Must have or be willing to obtain the following: CPR/1st Aid Certified (infant/child), current TB test, current Washoe County Work Permit (background/fingerprint check), and Nevada Registry approved courses in: Recognizing & Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect, Bloodborne Pathogens and Children’s Fitness. We may be willing to help get you enrolled in these classes if you need to update them. Plus an additional 24 hours of ECE training over the course of the next year and each year thereafter. (Required by the state of Nevada & the Nevada Registry).

Schedule: Monday to Friday 8-2 plus monthly staff meetings and any local event or fundraiser that IVNS puts on or participates in. We are closed for summer break, public school vacations, and major holidays. 

Compensation: $25/hr + DOE, a monthly health stipend, paid trainings
