We are a small non-profit in Incline Village that offers parenting education and a child play center for families with children from birth through five years. Our mission is to empower families through parenting education, early childhood learning experiences, and a supportive community.
Position description:
The Program Assistant will support infant and toddler programs which may include art, sensory play, music, gross motor skills, and/or spanish language. The Program Assistant is responsible for leading circle time and activities, managing/supervising free playtime and snack time, and cleaning up after program. This position may also include the development of new programs, donor and membership management, fundraising and grant writing, and/or marketing depending on the skills and interests of candidates.
The Program Assistant will work both independently and collaboratively with other TCF Staff to design appropriate program goals, activities, and outreach efforts.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead toddler programs which may include art, sensory play, music, gross motor skill, and/or spanish language
Supervise children while parents attend parenting class and support learning/practicing new skills to reach age-appropriate physical, cognitive, emotional, and social milestones
Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging learning and play environment
Develop and maintain friendly and trusting relationships with TCF Families, Staff, and Board of Directors
Support outreach and fundraising efforts and events
Perform light office duties
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with young children; interest in early childhood education
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in computer programs, including Google Suite
Knowledge of or ability to learn web design programs (Squarespace), client management systems (Little Green Light and ProCare), email systems (MailChimp), and social media
Punctual, efficient, organized
Bilingual and biliterate preferred (Spanish and English fluency)
Schedule:
12-30 hours per week (Very flexible with hours per week agreed upon by candidate and TCF prior to hire)
Typical program hours are 9:00-12:00
Additional hours may be requested for special events and programs
Compensation:
hourly rate based on qualifications $18-$25
