Kick off the best week of jazz in Tahoe with a unique celebration of the life and legacy of Dave and Iola Brubeck. The Brubeck Legacy Trio is joined by Roxy Coss and Lucas Pino, New York-based saxophonists, Artistic Directors of the Brubeck Jazz Summit, and wife-and-husband duo, to explore the remarkable music of Dave Brubeck. Pianist Joe Gilman, celebrated as one of the foremost scholars of Brubeck’s life and work and described by Brubeck himself as “one of the greatest pianists I’ve ever heard”, will be a highlight performing his distinct arrangements of Brubeck’s beloved tunes. Prepare for an evening that masterfully blends Brubeck classics with modern arrangements for a rich tribute to one of jazz’s most influential figures.
