Are floating bodies a mystery in the lake? Are beavers native to the region? Do all bears around Tahoe hibernate? It’s time to separate fact from fiction and uncover the truth behind some of Lake Tahoe’s myths and legends! 

Guest speaker Sarah Hockensmith from the Tahoe Institute for Natural Science will take us on a journey through Tahoe's fascinating history, unusual geology, and diverse flora and fauna. We'll dive deep into the myths and misconceptions surrounding the Lake Tahoe Basin and the surrounding Sierra Nevada and Carson Range ecosystems. Come curious, and leave enlightened as we explore, debunk, and celebrate the natural wonders of Tahoe!
