Nevada Nordic FreeHeel Fest returns to Tahoe Meadows on Saturday, March 7, 2026 from 9:00am–2:00pm for a lively celebration of cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and mountain community. Hosted by Nevada Nordic in partnership with Tahoe Multisport, Nevada Division of Outdoor Recreation, Salomon, Atomic, Travel North Tahoe Nevada, and other local partners, this free event invites participants to explore the trails and experience winter at its best. Enjoy free XC ski demos and rentals, free snowshoe rentals, expert guidance, fun races, DJs spinning tunes in Meadows Junction, and even beer tasting. Gather your friends and head to Mt. Rose Highway 431 for a day on the snow.
