Description

Arias, Duets and a Salute to Carmen!

Join us for a beautiful evening of passion, power, and breathtaking vocal artistry as the Tahoe Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorus presents Nightz at Tahoe Opera: Arias, Duets & A Salute to Carmen.

Set against the enchanting backdrop of a Reno/Tahoe summer, this concert features dazzling performances of opera’s most beloved and stirring works—brought to life by an acclaimed cast of local and visiting professional opera singers: Lorelei vanPeborgh, Michael Nin, Mari Stoner, Julio Ferrari, Jackie Lengfelder, and Debbie Sessions.

From the fiery drama of Bizet’s Carmen to the soaring melodies of Puccini, Verdi, Rossini, and Delibes this program captures the full emotional spectrum of opera—love and loss, joy and heartbreak, elegance and raw intensity. Expect powerful solos, stunning duets, and moments that will stay with you long after the final note.

We’re also thrilled to welcome back guest violinist  ðŸŽ»Kevin Matheson, whose virtuosic performance of Carmen Fantasy Variations adds dazzling precision and flair to one of opera’s most iconic themes.

Whether you’re a lifelong opera enthusiast or discovering the magic for the first time, this evening promises to stir your soul and ignite your imagination.
