Immerse yourself in an unforgettable evening at the first performance of the 2025 Ron & Maureen Ashley Chamber Music series. Beethoven’s delightful Flute Serenade uses the unusual combination of flute, violin, and viola, with the viola serving as the bass instrument in this sunny classical work. The concert concludes with Brahms’ sublime String Quintet in G Major, Op. 111, a so-called “viola quintet” since the ensemble features two violas. Less well-known than his two string sextets, this sumptuous work represents Brahms’ late period at its finest. Tickets for this concert include a wine and hors d’oeuvres reception.
