Description

Learning from Resilience: Natures Innovation and Multidisciplinary discovery

I wanted to include the Zoom link for the talk that I will be giving tomorrow (4/9) at 6pm in the Primm Library, in case your schedule doesn’t permit you to attend in person, but you still want to tune in.  I’ve cc’d our events staff if you have any further questions about connecting or attending. Look forward to seeing you in-person or virtually. Thank you again for all of your support!

Short description:
Nature has been solving problems for billions of years. This talk traces a scientific journey shaped not by a linear plan, but by curiosity, collaboration, and basic questions that scale from molecules to ecosystems—and from the origins of life on Earth to the search for life beyond it. Through stories from chemical ecology, ethnobotany, and discovery‑driven research, this talk explores how listening carefully to nature’s solutions can lead to transformative science, education, and innovation.
