IVCBA generates tangible regional impact through initiatives like the local communications, community events and beautification. We align agencies, businesses, nonprofits, and residents to ensure the long-term sustainability and cohesiveness of our community.

About this role

This leadership role drives community development and represents IVCBA. The Director acts as a partner to the Executive Director, leading high-level organizational strategy and HR oversight. The position requires public speaking, management experience, and the gravitas to collaborate with community leaders and agencies. This is more than a standard role—it is a mission-driven commitment for a leader deeply invested in the long-term vitality, community spirit, and sustainable growth of Incline Village and Crystal Bay.

Responsibilities

HR & Staff Management

  • Prepare contracts, write and conduct reviews, manage PTO, and act as staff manager with eye towards employee development
  • Oversee strategic planning, business plans, monthly financial and annual reports.

Board Relations

  • Liaise with the Board of Directors via the Executive Director
  • Provide support for long range strategic and financial planning (i.e. proactive metrics)

Revenue & Communications

  • Help close sales for memberships and major sponsorships.
  • Assist with Investor-level relationships and organize VIP Receptions and other leadership programs.

Community Development & Programs

  • Drive community development and shape long-term strategic planning through partnerships with local agencies and government representatives.
  • Oversee community celebrations (Fall Fest, Northern Lights).
  • Manage and ensure effectiveness of community programs (Housing Committee, Community Collaborative, Mi Cultura).

Candidate Requirements and Skills Needed

  • Proven senior leadership experience, with a demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams, oversee HR functions, and provide strategic direction.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Washoe Tahoe community.
  • Public speaking experience.
  • Experience in sales and events, with proven ability to close deals as a trusted partner.
  • Demonstrated capacity to manage complex, concurrent initiatives and competing priorities effectively.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace, office programs, and Canva.
