Position: Fiscal and Grant Compliance Coordinator.
Location: Incline Village, NV office
Hours: 32 hours per week, four 8-hour workdays, full-time
Compensation: Competitive non-exempt, hourly wage based on experience, starting range is $35.30 – 39.18 per hour, DOE

We are seeking a versatile candidate with at least two years of relevant experience in either finance or grant compliance. Priority Fiscal responsibilities include payroll documentation, accounts payable and assistance for the Fiscal Team as needed. Priority Grant responsibilities include supporting Grants compliance, budget management & grant reporting.
The role requires initiative, independent problem-solving, and the ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines while maintaining confidentiality and professional ethics.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Bachelor’s degree preferred
B. Minimum two years finance and accounting or grant compliance experience.
C. Experience with Microsoft Excel as well as other systems and applications.
D. Strong oral and written communication
E. Ability to work independently and review details accurately.
F. Experience with payroll a plus.
G. Must have a reliable means of transportation and the ability to drive legally with no suspensions or restrictions
Partial job description:
A. Financial Support
1. The largest fiscal priorities of the position include assisting the Human Resource Director and Fiscal Director in processing bi-weekly payroll, completing accounts payable for the agency and maintaining backup for credit card expenses. Sierra Community House is mostly grant funded, which requires the organization to maintain accurate detailed documentation for expenses that are charged to grants; the documentation is provided to grantors monthly and on demand and to third party auditors annually. The person in this position will be asked to follow up with all Sierra Community House staff to ensure documentation is complete. The priority areas are payroll, accounts payable and credit cards.
2. Other fiscal priorities include functional timesheet maintenance (Microsoft Excel work), completing bank deposits, reconciling petty cash, voucher tracking and other tasks as needed.
Grant Compliance
1. Maintain timely records of all agency grants and contracts.
2. Attend regular meetings with Sierra Community House Grant Manager, Fiscal Staff, Program Directors and Managers to assure compliance with contracts and grant requirements including meeting project goals and objectives.
3. Track Grant Reporting needs, providing support, tools, timelines, and reminders for program Managers & Directors in order to meet grant reporting deadlines.
4. Distribute all relevant grant related material to direct service staff who are responsible for implementation of programs.
5. Assist with the compilation of all agency statistics, including ensuring that information is entered into the database on a regular and timely basis.
6. Collect relevant program data for grant reports in a timely manner.
7. Ensure that deadlines for contracts and grants are met.
8. Work with staff to answer questions and share information.
9. Prepare programmatic templates, process and maintain files for Memorandum of Understandings, Operational Agreements, and Second Tier Subawards.
10. Prepare programmatic templates, process and maintain files for Independent Contractor Agreements, including tracking renewal dates of insurance and certificates.
11. Provide support to staff regarding grants compliance as it relates to functional time sheets and reimbursement requests
12. Proof and edit grant proposals, reports, and narrative updates.
13. Read complex funding opportunities with the ability to dissect and disseminate the information in a clear and succinct manner.
14. Document all trainings attended by staff and volunteers for grant reports. Monitor tracking of grant deadlines and compliance requirements.
Grant Financing
1. Support the maintenance and updates of grant budgets with support from the Finance Team
2. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of grant budgets and the ability to prepare grant budget modifications.
3. Work as a liaison between grant, finance and program directors/manager to ensure updated accurate information and open communication as it relates to oversight, implementation, modifications of grants.
Grant Reporting
1. Provide timely reminders for staff to enter data into database. Ensure compliance of data entry and quality data input from all staff & volunteers through data audits and management reports.
2. Database Management; Convene Database Team regularly to develop, maintain and evaluate processes and protocols to manage services and outcomes related to all Sierra Community House programs. Provide data when requested by program directors and managers Demonstrate data literacy, ability to build reports from secure database, and identify problems or trends
Office Clerical Support
1. Complete routine office clerical duties such as processing, filing, copying and other clerical duties as assigned.
