IVGID Safety Specialist
Supports day-to-day activities involving District-wide risk mgmt., insurance & safety programs designed to analyze/administer various components of internal safety/security programs. Technical & professional internal support incl. OSHA & fire code compliance, risk assessment, incident investigation & safety related training.
Knowledge of pool insurance/loss prevention programs helpful.
Direct experience in computer publications & working knowledge of technology communication systems required.
Maintain composure in emergency situations. Ability to ski all levels of terrain. Req: BA in Bus. Admin, Public Admin or related field. Assoc. Risk Mgmt Cert preferred or obtain within mutually agreed timeframe w/supv.; 3 yrs. exp. supporting risk mgmt. programs for public entity or equiv. combo.
Excellent cust. svc. & interpersonal skills dealing w/confidential info; effective & courteous communication (in-person/written) skills; positively deal w/changing circumstances.
Possess valid DL & successful completion of NV/Fed. Background check. Exp. w/ski, golf, hospitality industry & Tahoe area helpful.
